Giana Carroll began her dance training at South Jersey Ballet where she had the opportunity to perform lead roles in their annual Nutcracker and spring productions. Giana graduated from Adelphi University in 2022 with a BFA in dance. During her time at Adelphi, she had the opportunity to perform works choreographed by Frank Augustyn, Orion Duckstein, Larry Keigwin, Juan Rodriguez and Paul Taylor. Upon graduating, Giana performed with small companies in North Jersey including works by Andrea Weber, Blakely White Maguire and Michelle Thompson Ulerich. She made her debut in a musical with a production of Sunday in the Park with George directed by Eamon Foley. Recently, she has performed with Chronicle Dance Theatre and this past spring she performed at an international arts festival in Dordogne, France with Ballet Reve.  

Lilakoi Moon Grover is fresh off her recent performance with Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! She is thrilled to continue her journey with Ballet Rêve in their second original production which will, again, land them in Dordogne, France to perform! Lilakoi previously danced with Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater company (apprentice) and trained at Axelrod Academy since its inception. She earned a “Contemporary Top 12” at YAGP, was recognized by the Asbury Park Dance Festival and has danced off-Broadway at The Triad Theatre. She is currently in a gap year, training and auditioning in NYC. Lilakoi is thankful for the opportunities she has, is excitedly awaiting the return to the artists’ residency in the South of France and will continue to pursue her passion wherever it may lead! Mary Ann Massa was born and raised in Old Bridge, New Jersey, which is where she trained in all styles of dance. Mary Ann graduated from The Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College in 2019 with a BFA in dance and a concentration in Ballet. During her time at Purchase, she had the opportunity to perform works by George Balanchine, Norbert De La Cruz lll, Gregory Dawson, Michelle Thompson Ulerich, and Stuart Loungway. Additionally, she got to perform a duet at the Kuan Du Arts Festival in Taiwan in 2017 choreographed by Norbert De La Cruz lll. She attended workshops and programs at Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Ballet X, San Francisco Conservatory Forsythe Program,The Rock School, and more. Mary Ann was a professional dancer with New Jersey Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Continuum Contemporary Ballet and Thang Dao Dance Company. She is now a freelance artist in New York City and is very passionate about teaching dance to the younger generation. 

Kirra Matthews (Courtesy of Atlantic City Ballet) began her ballet training in southern New Jersey at the ACBT Performing Arts Academy under direction of Phyllis Papa. Kirra then attended high school at the Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington, DC where she received a certificate for four years of Vaganova training and graduated as valedictorian. At Kirov, Kirra performed in many classical repertoire pieces as well as new works by Anton Wilson and Stanislav Issaev. Upon graduating, Kirra was invited to dance with the corps de ballet of Universal Ballet Company in Seoul, South Korea for the 2016-17 season, performing in Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Don Quixote. Kirra joined the Atlantic City Ballet in 2018 and has enjoyed dancing much of Phyllis Papa’s repertoire, most notably the second act pas de deux from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the balcony pas de deux from Romeo and Juliet, the Bluebird pas de deux, the Summer Fairy in Cinderella, and Arabian in The Nutcracker. She has also performed in ACB’s productions of Carmen, Dracula, Carmina Burana, Etudes, La Sylphide, Coppelia, and Inn the Roaring Twenties. During the 2021 virtual season, Kirra also had an opportunity to choreograph on the company, setting her contemporary new work Out of Hiding. In addition to performing, Kirra loves teaching ballet and contemporary at TLC Academy of Dance and choreographing for their competition team. She is also an undergraduate degree candidate with Harvard Extension School studying psychology. Kirra is thrilled to be joining Ballet Rêve for this performance! 

Aldeir Monteiro (Courtesy of American Repertory Ballet) began his training at the Centro de Arte e Dança de Campo Grande in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, coached by Daniel Mendéz and directed by Alice Arja. Monteiro won the Bronze Medal at the XVIII International Dance Seminar of Brasilia in 2008. He continued his training at the Miami City Ballet School and joined Miami City Ballet in 2012 under the direction of Edward Villella, followed by Lourdes Lopez. Monteiro performed in the original cast of Euphotic choreographed by Liam Scarlett for the Miami City Ballet in 2013. His repertoire includes Alexei Ratmansky’s Symphonic Dances; Sir Frederick Ashton’s Les Patineurs; George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, Serenade, La Valse, and Slaughter on Tenth Avenue; Paul Taylor’s Piazolla Caldera; John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet and others. Since joining ARB in 2016, Monteiro has performed principal roles such as Cavalier in The Nutcracker, Lysander in Douglas Martin’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Matador in Kirk Peterson’s Carmen, Franz in Coppelia, Paul Taylor’s Airs, José Límon’s There is a Time, Gerald Arpino’s Sea Shadow and Jean de Brienne in Peterson’s Glazunov Variations. Other credits include Trey McIntyre’s Blue Until June, Septime Webre’s Fluctuating Hemlines, and Riccardo De Nigris’ Beyond the Normal, Ethan Stiefel’s Wood Work and VARIANTS, Amy Seiwert World, Interrupted and Sight Line, and Arthur Mitchell’s Holberg Suite. Monteiro originated the role of Puck, dancing alongside ARB’s Artistic Associate Gillian Murphy in Stiefel’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Albrecht in Ethan Stiefel and Johan Kobborg’s Giselle. 

Sarah Takash is a visual and performing artist originally from Brielle, New Jersey. She is thrilled to join Ballet Rêve again for this performance of Hearts in Motion. Most recently, Sarah performed at the Vanguard Theater in their productions of Tuck Everlasting and Pippin. She previously performed at the Axelrod PAC in Eamon Foley's Sunday in the Park with George and with Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater. Sarah graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Ailey School and Fordham University with a BFA in dance and a double major in visual arts. Sarah supplemented her training at summer programs with Nederlands Dans Theater, Art of Ballet Zurich, The Juilliard School, Arts Umbrella, and American Ballet Theater NYC. She had the privilege of performing the works of Alvin Ailey and Robert Battle at New York City Center and the Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. Upon graduation, Sarah performed in Boston on stages such as the Henry J. Lier Outdoor Stage at Jacob's Pillow and the ICA Boston.
